On my Daughter's Graduation - poems for graduation

You worked so hard

To get where you are

In friendships and in school work

Your persistence to succeed

Is admirable

You stumbled through

Days of frustration when things did not go

As you worked for

But then you accepted

And better days came along

And look at you now!

A whole new you

Which has always been the Beautiful you

Inside and out

As you say goodbye to the old adventures

You say hello to new ones

And I am more than sure

You will get where you wish

Even if your goals will change many times

It will lead you the way

To marvelous things

That you do not know yet

But you will succeed through the bumps

As you always did

With your bravery

Your will to not surrender to fear

Your sense of responsibility

Your creativity

Your ability to question and doubt

Your loyalty to friends

Your smile and planner mind.

Without noticing

You will go far, really far

As you did now

Which is the very beginning

Of an amazing journey.

I am so happy for you, and I love you dearly.

From mom.
