Is Humanity Losing Its Way?
Sometimes I wonder — is the world truly getting crazier, or has it always been this way and technology just made it more visible? With every new technological advancement, it feels like chaos grows exponentially.
When I look around, I see the sophistication of modern weaponry, the endless creation of nuclear arms, and the rise of extreme ideologies spreading through social media — subtly brainwashing younger generations. In poor countries, corrupt leaders keep their people in poverty to manipulate them for power, money, and control.
The Tragedy of Lost Potential
Take, for example, the people living in Gaza. Many have been raised not for innovation or science, but for violence and destruction — victims of brainwashing from leaders who steal from their own people, keeping them poor so they’ll follow orders in exchange for food and false honor. It’s heartbreaking to see human potential wasted this way.
Meanwhile, powerful world leaders make decisions that determine the fate of millions — decisions that can lead to either peace or war. And who suffers most? Ordinary people. Families losing loved ones, children growing up with trauma, generations scarred by ideologies they never chose.
How Can So Few Decide for So Many?
That is what war is: the consequence of power, greed, and the illusion of righteousness.
Imagine if humanity had chosen differently — if the Holocaust had never happened. How many brilliant minds would we have gained? How many cures, discoveries, and solutions to human suffering would exist today?
We live in an age of information, yet we are losing touch with our inner voice. We spend hours scrolling through endless content, becoming more reactive and less reflective.
Social Media: The New Weapon
Social media — once a platform for free speech — has turned into a tool for manipulation. Instead of empowering critical thinking, it often amplifies hate, fear, and division.
What was meant to unite humanity is now pushing us into digital mobs, fighting one another over beliefs we didn’t even form ourselves.
Is this the end of humanity’s higher potential?
A Personal Reflection
My father passed away in 1996 and my mother in 1999. If I could tell them what has happened since, they would not believe it — from 9/11, to the pandemic, to the return of anti-Semitism and the casual mention of Hitler’s name in media and politics.
My mother, a Holocaust survivor, would be horrified. For her, even hearing that name brought shivers. And now, to see it repeated so carelessly — as if his evil legacy were a trending topic — is deeply painful for those who suffered and for those who still bear the scars of that dark chapter in human history.

The Call to Awaken
Maybe it’s time we pause.
Maybe it’s time to listen again — not to the noise of the world, but to the quiet truth within ourselves.
Because only through awareness, compassion, and critical thinking can we begin to rebuild what humanity is in danger of losing.
