Personal Opinion Versus Critical Thinking

I recently noticed how much social media has not only globalized the world but also made communication between friends, families, and unknown people instantaneous. With that, I observed an increase in everyone expressing their voices, beliefs, and personal opinions. It is wonderful that we have a social space for that. However, this era of inundation of personal opinions is also making us lonelier because we are taking our hearts and soul out of the equation to fit in or call attention. Also, with personal opinions, the fear of sharing, being criticized, or even ending up in prison intensifies.
So, personal opinions and a society open to hearing everyone’s voices are very important. But at the same time, we are paying a huge price for the fear of privacy being disclosed. Now, people are more afraid of talking about their feelings but not afraid to express an opinion about something or say what others say because it is deemed cool.
Where are our hearts and our ability to sincerely observe when we speak? When we observe something that is not right for our souls, nobody wants to hear that; they interpret it as “this is your personal opinion.” Where is the common sense of creating a safe environment and common law that everyone can follow? A law based on our higher emotional parts that all humans have, thus creating a society that gives space for that part of us to breathe, to sense that maybe someone else’s attitude of power is not just a personal opinion.
Humans need a sense of belonging, and the young crowd will go very far from themselves to feel a sense of belonging. Not everything is a personal opinion; some things need to be called out before they become a corrupted environment and soul. When our observation is taken just as a personal opinion and nothing more than that, that power at one point might take over all your organization, your family, or your community.
But you, yes you, how much do you sacrifice your soul to fit in? If you do, look for your niche that speaks your language where you can be heard and participate without selling your soul. Without being forced to give an opinion but use your heart and soul to generate critical thinking.
